Keeping Your Community Moving
Ravenna Township maintains 26 roads that total 456 miles of roadways throughout the area. We have a rotating plan of paving which is done each summer. We try to obtain grants to help defray these costs.

The Board of Trustees are excited to announce the purchase of the new Sewer Jet Cleaner! The O’Brien Hydro Sewer Jet has the capabilities to clean out culverts, catch basins, and driveway pipes with high pressure. We are very thankful to be able to purchase this new machine with the grant proceeds provided by ARPA.
Brush Chipping Service
One service provided to Township residents is our Brush Chipping Service. This is designed to assist in the disposal of storm damaged tree limbs and brush and debris from MINOR tree trimming performed by residents. Ravenna Township will NOT pick up material that has been cut by a commercial service or material from the clearing of a building lot.
As workloads permit, the Ravenna Township crew will chip on Mondays and Tuesdays every other week from May to October.
To ensure tree limbs and brush will be chipped, please observe the following:
- Place material on the road right of way.
- Arrange material in neat piles with the butt ends toward the road.
- Do NOT include leaves, grass or lumber.
- Do NOT include stumps or branches with dirt attached.
- Do NOT include limbs greater than 4 inches in diameter.
- Brush piles are restricted to four (4) feet high by eight (8) feet long and eight (8) feet wide, any brush exceeding this size will NOT be picked up by the Road Department.
Any material that does not meet the above criteria will not be removed.
Leaf Pick Up Service
Each fall (usually late September and October) as time permits bagged leaves in manageable size bags will be collected on Mondays. Please observe the following:
- Place the bagged leaves on the road right of way.
- Bags must be easily handled, not too heavy.
- No grass clippings or other debris may be in the bags with the leaves.
- Biodegradable bags are required.
Please call the Township Service Department at 330-296-5583 if you have questions about these services.
